•  Provide plenty of room around the system for maintenance and service.

•  Show you how to change the air filter.

•  Install and set up a programmable thermostat compatible with your system.

•  Install a matched indoor coil when outdoor unit is replaced.

•  Test and verify proper airflow.

•  Put the condenser in an area that will protected from vegetation, rain, and as specified by the manufacturer.

•  Confirm that the refrigerant level and airflow across the indoor coil meet the recommendation of the manufacturer.

•  Verify that the furnace has been tested for proper burner operation and ventilation of flue gases.

• Check refrigerant levels.

• Observe motor operation.

• Examine all parts for wear and tear before a minor problem becomes a big problem.

• Check suction line insulation.

• Clean drain lines.

• Inspect compressor operation. Compressor failure can prompt the replacement of the refrigeration unit, which makes compressor operation checks a priority on the refrigeration preventative maintenance checklist.
